Crash Pad Getaway Remodel
(Lake Tansi, Tennessee)
Our customer purchased a second home near their work so that they can have a place to stay when the work demand was high and the travel home was too long.
They wanted to turn this crash pad into a place they can call a second home, a place to come to and relax, read books, or just chill. We helped it by reality by replacing the flooring, and opening up the house some more. See how we did this…
We started with replacing the flooring in the sun room and bedroom with new trim too!
-Removed and disposed of old flooring
-Screwed subfloor down to stop squeeks.
-Sanded and made sure subfloor was level.
-Installed new flooring and trim.
We then opened up the kitchen, we lost a little storage, but gained a whole new look and feel with a marble top to place barstools at.
-Removed the old storage divider between the kitchen and living room.
-Cut out old flooring, and installed new tile floor.
-Reused and secured part of the old divider to keep some of the storage.
-Prepped, filled holes & cracks, sanded, primed and painted all walls.

The final phase was to remove the sliding glass door that stepped down to a reading room and front door. This completely changed the entire look of the home as soon as you walked in!
-Removed sliding glass door, frame and trim
-Reframed for craftsman style trim.
-Removed built in cabinet in reading room
-Repaired poor electrical connections.
-Repaired subfloor on step and installed new LVP flooring
-Added all new craftsman style trim with fresh paint.
-Added trim on floor, steps and walls.
